Join us as we return to Morden Park on Saturday 16 August to care for the 1,600 tree saplings planted to date, as part of our ongoing campaign to double tree cover in Merton.
All welcome!
Planting is just the beginning - why does tree care matter?
Tree care involves weeding and adding mulch around tree saplings. This is an essential part of trees' early growth, and gives them the best chance to thrive as weeds compete with saplings for water, sunlight, and nutrients.
This initiative is part of our campaign to double tree cover in Merton.
This Event hosted Merton Friends of the Earth with the support from Merton Tree Wardens and in partnership with Friends of Morden Park.
What you'll do:
During the event, volunteers will help us look after the young tree saplings by weeding and adding mulch around them.
