AELTC development – further objections

On 10 August 2022 we submitted further objections to Merton Council regarding the proposed AELTC Wimbleon Park Project. We are calling for the application to be rejected on the basis of the enormous harm we believe it will cause to the climate, local environment, biodiversity, air quality and natural heritage.

Our reasons for opposing the application include the carbon emissions and pollution this development would generate, the loss of mature trees, green space and biodiversity and the protected status of the land on which the expansion would be built.

We join many other local residents and groups objecting to the expansion and await Merton Council’s decision on the AELTC’s planning application.
