Tree planting - March 2022

On Saturday 19 March, we had a brilliant time planting more trees in Morden Park as part of our campaign to double tree cover in Merton. We planted 420 saplings in total, a combination of hawthorns, crab apples, downy birches, hazels and goat willows all kindly provided by The Woodland Trust.

Thanks so much to all our wonderful volunteers for their efforts, in particular the Merton Tree Wardens for helping us run the event and volunteers from Lajna Ima'illah UK (the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association), which is aiming to plant a whopping 100,000 trees this year!
